Your brain plays a movie when you want to press “pause.”
Thoughts going in circles? Discover how to divert attention, calm the mind, and regain sleep in a few minutes.

Problem description:
The problem is twofold:
1. When you pay attention to your thoughts and they excite or scare you, you release neurotransmitters whose side effects include sending the brain the signal to stay awake. It's a bit like watching a captivating movie: hard to fall asleep in front of it.
2. You can be more or less attentive to your thoughts; sometimes they pass by, but sometimes they seem almost real. The problem is similar with noises; you can be aware of them or not pay attention. When you lie down, you are still too attentive and alert, so the slightest thought keeps you awake.
Objectives:
1. Distract yourself to occupy your brain with something much less stimulating than your exciting thoughts.
2. Become less attentive, less alert, so that you are barely aware of your thoughts. In theater, the goal would be to move you from the front row to the back row: the stage becomes much blurrier, less understandable.
3. Letting go.
How Dodow helps you:
Dodow is not a miracle product, but a clever tool:
1. Distract yourself to occupy your brain with something much less stimulating than your exciting thoughts.
2. By focusing on the light signal and synchronizing your breathing to this rhythm, you will occupy a large part of your attention with an activity much less exciting than your thoughts.
Anecdote: In Russia, a scientist named Pavlov observed that when dogs were placed in empty rooms, where nothing could stimulate their curiosity, they fell asleep immediately. Dodow reproduces the same effect in your mind!
